The men's 3000-meter obstacle course at the World Athletics Championships in 1991 was held on August 29 and 31, 1991 in the Olympic Stadium in the Japanese capital, Tokyo .

The runners from Kenya achieved a double victory in this competition. World champion was Moses Kiptanui . He won ahead of Patrick Sang . Bronze went (to the two-time African champions 1988 / 1990 ) Azzedine Brahmi from Algeria .
