The men's 3000 meter obstacle course at the 1999 World Athletics Championships was held on August 21 and 23, 1999 in the Olympic Stadium in the Spanish city of Seville .
In this competition there was a double victory for the runners from Kenya . The 1995 vice world champion Christopher Koskei won . Second place went to defending champion Wilson Boit Kipketer . Bronze went to the Moroccan Ali Ezzine .
