Jim Svenøy
Jim Svenøy (born April 22, 1972 in Molde ) is a Norwegian obstacle runner .
He took part in the Olympic Games three times: in 1996 in Atlanta he was eighth, in 2000 in Sydney ninth, and in 2004 in Athens he was eliminated in the preliminary stages.
At the World Athletics Championships he was eliminated in 1993 in Stuttgart , reached the semi-finals in Gothenburg in 1995 and was seventh in Athens in 1997 . He failed in 1999 in Seville as well as in 2001 in Edmonton .
At the European Athletics Championships he was seventh in Helsinki in 1994 , won bronze in Budapest in 1998 and was eliminated in 2002 in Munich in the preliminary stages.
From 1993 to 2004 he was Norwegian champion in the 3000 m obstacle course twelve times in a row. He also won the national 1500 m title in 1992 and the 5000 m in 1996 .
