Nikolai Ivanovich Matjuchin ( Russian: Николай Иванович Матюхин , English transcription Nikolay Matyukhin ; born December 13, 1968 in Schukowski ) is a Russian walker .

Internationally, it appeared almost exclusively on the 50-kilometer distance . He took part in a total of four World Athletics Championships: in 1995 in Gothenburg he was tenth, and in 1997 in Athens he was 15th. He achieved the greatest success of his career by winning the silver medal at the 1999 World Cup in Seville behind Ivano Brugnetti and ahead of Curt Clausen . Matjuchin, who had reached the goal in third, benefited from the subsequent disqualification of the original winner German Skurygin for doping . 2001 in Edmonton he was disqualified.

He started twice at the Olympic Games: in 1996 in Atlanta he came in 25th place, in 2000 in Sydney he was fifth. Matjuchin achieved other noteworthy results over 50 km at the World Cup for walkers with second place in 1997, third place in 1999 and fourth place in 2002.
