Artur Partyka
Artur Jerzy Partyka (born July 25, 1969 in Stalowa Wola ) is a former Polish athlete.
Partyka was one of the world's best high jumpers of the 1990s. During that decade he achieved podium places in all international championships in which he started. His most successful season was in 1996, when he won the silver medal behind the American Charles Austin with 2.37 m at the Olympic Games in Atlanta . Two weeks later, at the high jump meeting in Eberstadt, he set the Polish record of 2.38 m, which is still valid today.
Partyka won twelve Polish championship titles in a row from 1989 to 1999. With a height of 1.92 m, he had a competition weight of 72 kg. Artur Partyka is married and has one daughter.
