Jacques Madubost

Jacques Madubost (born June 6, 1944 in Dangeau , Département Eure-et-Loir ; † June 29, 2018 ) was a French athlete .

The high jumper Madubost, who could not win a French championship title in athletics, surprisingly won the European Championships in Budapest in 1966 . With 2.12 meters he was level with the runner-up, his compatriot Robert Sainte-Rose . At the European Indoor Games in Madrid in 1968 , Madubost took 18th place with 2.00 meters.

After his athletics career, Madubost was successful as a marksman. In recent years he has also devoted himself to golf.
