history

The church and the monastery were built in 1737 under the Archbishop of Salzburg Leopold Anton von Firmian with the construction manager brother Benno Gelpio. The monastery was sold in 1981.

architecture

The church and the former monastery are to the west above the market and can be reached from there via a covered wooden staircase. The church is a simple hall building facing west. The former monastery wing is directly connected to the church on the south side. On the east side is a porch with the monastery gate on the left and the church portal on the right.

Furnishing

The stylistically very uniform equipment with a column high altar, side altars and ambo comes from the year of construction. All of the altarpieces were created by the Salzburg court painter Jacob Zanusi . The middle picture of the high altar shows the veneration of the miraculous picture Mariahilf by the angels, the narrow side pictures show St. Anthony of Padua with the baby Jesus and on the left the stigmatization of St. Francis , in the small top picture is shown the God the Father sitting on clouds with the dove of the Holy Spirit. On the right, the side altar paintings show St. Josef von Leonessa and in the essay St. Johannes Nepomuk and on the left the martyrdom of St. Fidelis von Sigmaringen and in the essay St. Joseph .

There are bells from 1763 and one bell from 1875.
