Karahayıt is a small town in Denizli district in the Turkish province of the same name . Karahayıt is located about 28 km north of the provincial capital Denizli. According to the last census, Karahayıt had 1,022 inhabitants (as of December 2010).
The administrative area of Karahayıt is divided into two districts , Beyazıt Mahallesi and Fatih Mahallesi , each of which is administered by a Muhtar .
Karahayıt is known for the Red Spring ( Turkish: Kırmızı su ), whose iron-rich water covers some rock areas with reddish deposits and is said to have healing effects. The area of the facility in which the Red Spring is located is around 500 square meters. The temperature of the thermal water poured out is approx. 60 ° C. The red spring is also shown in the town's coat of arms.
