Not again, Takagi-san ( Japanese か ら か い 上手 の 高木 さ ん , Karakai Jōzu no Takagi-san ) is a manga series by Soichiro Yamamoto that has been released in Japan since 2013. She's in the genres of romance, comedy and Shonen classified and has been called anime adapted television series.

Nishikata ( 西 片 く ん ) has known his classmate Takagi ( 高木 さ ん ) for a long time and has always been eager to trick her with one prank. Because Takagi has played so many pranks on him that he really wants to get her back. But every plan Nishikata comes up with is foreseen by Takagi and used against him. So at the end of the day, Nishikata is always the one who got caught. But Takagi is secretly in love with him and enjoys his reactions and how easily she can embarrass him.

Print publication

The series first appeared from 2013 in Gessan mini magazine by Shogakukan . It has been published by the same publisher in Gessan magazine since July 2016 . The manga has also appeared in eight anthologies so far. Volume 8 sold over 200,000 copies in Japan in the first four weeks of its release. An English translation is published by Yen Press . A German version has been published since April 2019 as Not already again, Takagi-San by Altraverse ; five volumes have appeared so far.

Since 2014, the offshoot Ashita wa Doyōbi ( あ し た は 土 日 ) has appeared in the Yomiuri Chūkōsei Shimbun , which revolves around three classmates of Nishikata and Takagi. The series is also drawn by Soichiro Yamamoto and published by Shogakukan in two edited volumes so far.

With Karakai Jōzu no (Moto) Takagi-san , drawn by Mifumi Inaba , another offshoot has been published in Gessan Shōnen Sunday Comics since July 2017 .

Anime television series

At Shin-Ei Animation , a 12-part anime television series was created, which shows several episodes of the manga and the offshoot Ashita wa Doyōbi in 25-minute episodes . Michiko Yokote wrote the script for the production and Hiroaki Akagi directed. The character design comes from Aya Takano . The opening credits are underlaid with the song Iwanai kedo ne , sung by Yuiko Ōhara , and the closing song is the Kimagure Romantic ( 気 ま ぐ れ ロ マ ン テ ィ ッ ク ) sung by Rie Takahashi .

The series has been aired in Japan by Tokyo MX , ytv and BS11 since January 8, 2018 . An English version will be shown by Animax Asia , while the Crunchyroll platform will publish the episodes via streaming parallel to the Japanese broadcast - including German and English subtitles.

The 2nd season with 12 episodes was released in 2019 and dubbed German by Netflix .
