Karen Heinrich

Karen Heinrich (born August 15, 1968 in West Staaken ) is a former German handball player .

The 1.87 meter tall player was used in the left back space position. She began playing handball at BSG Motor Falkensee. She played for the ASK forward Frankfurt and its successor Frankfurt handball club . She was with the Frankfurt women in 1986, 1987 and 1990 and won the IHF Cup in 1990 .

With the women's national handball team of the GDR , she was third in the 1990 World Cup. At the 1993 World Cup, she was world champion with the German national team . She scored 71 goals in 64 international matches .
