Karen Persyn (born March 31, 1983 in Rumst ) is a Belgian ski racer .

Persyn, who comes from the Flemish region of Belgium, is a slalom specialist and currently the best skier in her country. She competed in her first children's ski races at the age of seven. She reached the Ski World Cup in 2001/02 via FIS races and the European Cup . In the slalom of Maribor , she won World Cup points for the first time in the 2003/04 season , finishing in 28th place - the first of a skier in the Belgian association since Henri Mollin in the early 1980s. After a few years without qualifications for the second round, she was able to improve this result significantly with rank 16 in January 2009 , also in Maribor. So far, she has not won any further points in the World Cup.

Karen Persyn has taken part in six Alpine World Ski Championships so far , her best placing is 21st place in the slalom at the 2009 World Championships in Val-d'Isère . In 2010 she took part in the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver , where she was 27th in slalom. Further successes include numerous Belgian championship titles - in addition to slalom, giant slalom and Super-G - a third place in the European Cup slalom in the ski hall of Amnéville in 2008 and numerous victories in FIS races.
