Karina Ibragimowna Sabirowa ( Russian Карина Ибрагимовна Сабирова ; born March 23, 1998 in Astrakhan ) is a Russian handball player who belongs to the squad of the Russian national team.

Career

Karina Sabirowa has been playing for GK Astrachanotschka since 2011 . Meanwhile, the backcourt player runs with the women's team from Astrakhanotschka in the top Russian league. Astrakhanochka won the Russian championship in 2016.

Sabirova took part in the 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games and won the silver medal. In 2015 she won the silver medal with Russia at the U-17 European Championships and was also elected to the All-Star team. A year later she won the gold medal at the U-18 World Cup and was also honored with the MVP title . In the same year she won the silver medal at the U-20 World Cup with the Russian junior selection .

Sabirova was appointed to the squad of the Russian national team for the first time in 2016 by Yevgeny Trefilov . With the Russian selection, she took part in the 2016 European Championships .
