Karina Kutz

Karina Kutz (born September 13, 1910 in Deutsch-Eylau ; died November 22, 1985 in Berlin ; actually Hertha Kutz ) was a German opera singer with a soprano voice.
Life
Karina Kutz studied singing at Studio Pabelick, with Hedwig Francillo-Kaufmann in Berlin and with Astolfo Pescini in Rome .
Her first engagement and stage debut was during the Nazi era in 1934 as “Venus” in Tannhäuser at the Krefeld City Theater . In 1936 she moved to Cottbus . From 1937 to 1953 she was engaged as the first dramatic soprano at the Städtische Oper Berlin . She sang the great soprano roles "Carmen", "Leonore", "Tosca", "Donna Anna", "Senta", "Kundry" and "Salome".
On December 18, 1948, she sang at the world premiere of Werner Egk's opera Circe .
Karina Kutz also appeared as a concert soprano .
