Karl Böhm Interpretation Prize

The Karl Böhm Interpretation Prize of the State of Styria of the Republic of Austria was founded in 1998 in honor of the conductor Karl Böhm . The prize, which was initially awarded without a fixed time cycle, has been awarded every three years since 2008. The prize, endowed with EUR 10,000 (as of 2018), is given to music interpreters or singers . It is awarded at the suggestion of the jury without an invitation to tender and only to one (undivided) prize winner. Since 2018, it has been awarded every two years as the Grand Interpretation Prize of the State of Styria .
