Karl-Eerik Luigend (born January 15, 1993 in Tallinn ) is an Estonian football player who was most recently under contract with Paide Linnameeskond in the Estonian Meistriliiga . As captain, he led the Estonian U-19 juniors during the U-19 European Championship 2012 in his home country.

Career

Karl-Eerik Luigend first played chess and won a silver medal for Estonia at the Chess World Cup at the age of ten, before starting his football career at FCF Kesklinn from the Tallinn district of Kesklinn . From there he came to the Estonian record champions FC Flora Tallinn in their youth in 2006 . In 2009 Luigend moved from Flora to JK Tulevik Viljandi where this was initially used in the reserve team in the Esiliiga , the second highest division in Estonia. In Viljandi Luigend was able to secure a regular place in the fighting team in the 2010 season . From there he returned to his home club at the beginning of the new 2011 season. With 10 appearances in the league Luigend could contribute to the won championship. With victory in the cup and Supercup , he won the triple with Flora in the first year . In the new season 2012 he was able to successfully defend this with Flora in the game for the Supercup. Against JK Trans Narva , he came on the field for Meelis Peitre in the second half .

National team

Karl-Eerik Luigend has played for Estonia since the U-16 International. He made his debut in Estonia's U-19 selection against Portugal via the U-17s in January 2010. With the U-19, an Estonian national football team took part in a FIFA tournament for the first time; Luigend captain of the team led them at the U-19 European Championship , in all three group games against Portugal, Greece and Spain, and played for the entire duration of the game. After three defeats in the preliminary round, the team was eliminated.
