Karl-Heinz Exner

Karl-Heinz Exner (born January 3, 1920 in Herne ; † March 22, 1999 in Lüdinghausen ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After attending elementary school, Exner worked as a semi-skilled worker in a machine factory from 1934 to 1937. In 1937 he signed up for the Wehrmacht . From 1939 to 1945 he took part in the Second World War as a soldier .

Exner was employed as a semi-skilled worker in a furnace from 1947 to 1955, where he was a member of the works council for four years. From 1955 to 1961 he was the workers' secretary of the Protestant labor movement and at times social secretary of the Christian trade union . From 1962 he worked as a social secretary at the Evangelical Church in Westphalia .

Political party

Exner joined the CDU in 1950 and had been a member of the main board of the Christian Democratic Workforce (CDA) since 1961 .

MP

From 1961 to 1964 Exner was a member of the Beckum district council . He was a member of the German Bundestag from November 30, 1964, when he replaced the late Member of Parliament Johannes Even , until 1969. In both electoral terms he entered parliament via the CDU's state list in North Rhine-Westphalia .
