Karl-Heinz Koberstein (born December 21, 1956 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

The defender Karl-Heinz Koberstein began his career at VfB Neukölln in the Oberliga Berlin . In the summer of 1979 he moved to the second division club SC Herford . He made his second division debut on October 19, 1979 when Herford lost 3-2 at SG Union Solingen . Two years later, Koberstein and his team failed to qualify for the single-track 2nd Bundesliga. For the Herford, he completed 36 second division games and scored one goal. Koberstein later played for FC Gütersloh and FC Bad Oeynhausen and was then youth coach at VfL Mennighüffen and youth manager at SC Wiedenbrück .
