society

VfB Sperber Neukölln was founded on September 25, 1921 under the name VfB Neukölln . In 1925 the Berliner SC Rekord briefly joined VfB , but this connection was broken again in 1926. In contrast to the local rivals of Neukölln FC Südstern or 1. FC Neukölln, the VfB team did not play a significant role until the end of the Second World War. Any participation in the Oberliga or Gauliga Berlin-Brandenburg did not get the Neukölln.

In 1945 the association was dissolved. An immediate re-establishment in the form of a sports group did not take place, so that the club did not re-emerge until 1949 under its historical name. VfB also played under-class in West Berlin local football for several years. The most successful sporting times for the Berliners began at the end of the 1960s, when they were promoted to the Berlin amateur league for the first time . In the following years, VfB Neukölln was a fixture in the amateur league. After a total of eight seasons, VfB had to enter the state league in the 1976/77 season, just behind Hellas-Nordwest Berlin . As early as 1978, the Neuköllner returned to the football league in Berlin , but were relegated as fourth in the table after only one season. In the mid-eighties, between 1985 and 1988, the Berliners last played in a higher class with three league seasons. Since the relegation from the national league in 1990, there has been no return to higher regions.

In 1998 VfB Neukölln merged with Neuköllner SC Sperber to form VfB Sperber Neukölln. In the 2007/2008 season, he was promoted to the national league. After several relegations, most recently in the 2014/2015 season, you currently only play in the district league B.

VfB Sperber Neukölln currently has no youth teams. However, the men's division of the club brought seven different teams to the start for the 2019/2020 season.
