Karl-Heinz Pfeffer
Karl-Heinz Pfeffer (born December 28, 1939 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German geographer .
Life
After studying natural sciences at the University of Frankfurt , he obtained his doctorate with a dissertation on the karst and glacial morphology of Abruzzo . The habilitation in the geosciences department at the University of Frankfurt is based on a comparative study of karst landscapes in Jamaica , Apulia and Cyrenaica .
In 1972 Pfeffer took over a professorship in Frankfurt am Main and then moved to Cologne University in 1975 . From 1986 he held the Chair in for Physical Geography at the Geographical Institute of the University of Tübingen until in April 2004 emeritus was. He is currently editor-in-chief of the journal for geomorphology .
