Karl-Heinz Saxowski

Karl-Heinz Saxowski (born September 13, 1918 in Paderborn ; † April 9, 1981 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After attending primary and secondary school, Saxowski was drafted into the armed forces in 1937 . He took part in World War II as a soldier from 1939 to 1945 , was used in the infantry and wounded twice. At the end of the war he was taken prisoner by the Soviets, from which he was released in 1947.

Saxowski joined the city administration of Paderborn in 1947 and worked there as a city inspector for the finance and tax administration. In 1956 and 1958 he passed the exams for middle and senior administration at the administration and savings bank school Hellweg-Sauerland in Soest . As a member of the ÖTV , which he had joined in 1949, he was chairman of the staff council of the city administration as well as the partial staff council of the Stadtwerke Paderborn.

Political party

Saxowski joined the SPD in 1948 and was later deputy chairman of the SPD sub-district Paderborn- Büren .

MP

Saxowski was a member of the German Bundestag from 1961 to 1980 . He was always drawn into parliament via the state list of North Rhine-Westphalia .
