Under his leadership, Porr AG grew from the third largest to the second largest construction group in Austria. The decisive factor for this was the bankruptcy of Alpine Holding in 2013. Porr was able to take over two subsidiaries of the insolvent construction group, namely Grund-Pfahl- und Sonderbau GmbH (GPS) and Stump , which was active in Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic. A total of around 500 employees were taken on. He sees the shortage of skilled workers and the training of the next generation as a major challenge in the construction industry.
