The Karl-Heitz-Stadion is a football stadium in Offenburg . The football matches of the Offenburger FV take place in the stadium. It is named after Karl Heitz , the former Lord Mayor of Offenburg and former president of the Offenburg FV.
history
The stadium was built between 1956 and 1957 and opened in 1957. In 1984 the final of the German Amateur Football Championship took place in the stadium. The Offenburg FV won it with 4: 1 against the SC Eintracht Hamm .
From 2001 to 2002 the stadium was renovated and expanded, including a press center.
capacity
The Karl Heitz Stadium has around 15,000 spectator seats, 10,000 of which are approved by the DFB . There are also 500 covered seats.
