Karl-Hermann Leukert

Karl-Hermann Leukert (born January 20, 1955 in Lübeck ) is a German journalist.

Life

After attending school at the Johanneum in Lübeck , Leukert obtained his diploma in political science at the Otto Suhr Institute of the Free University of Berlin . At tip Berlin he was editor-in-chief from 1995 to 2006, where he introduced the list "The 100 most embarrassing Berliners", which is published regularly at the beginning of the year, under the pseudonym "Karl Hermann" in 1999. Between 2001 and 2018 he was a member of the board of the legal publishing house Formblitz AG. Before that, between 1990 and 1995 he was editorial and publishing director at Prinz , long-time freelancer at the weekly newspaper Die Zeit , where he wrote about the Scientology sect and was a documentary filmmaker. Together with Wolfgang Brenner , he realized the first part of the ARD series "Heimatfront" (nominated for the 36th Grimme Prize ) and together with Günter Klaucke created the 90-minute cinema documentary "Der Fall Cap Arcona" about the sinking of the Prisoner fleet in Neustädter Bucht on May 3, 1945, which was funded by the Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein Film Fund and premiered at the 37th Lübeck Nordic Film Festival.
