Karl-Martin Kuntze

Karl-Martin Kuntze (born September 21, 1948 in Quedlinburg ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 1994 to 2002 he was a member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt .

Education and life

Karl-Martin Kuntze graduated from EOS Aschersleben in 1967 and completed an apprenticeship as a fitter in 1967. From 1967 to 1971 he studied at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and became a graduate teacher for mathematics and physics . From 1978 to 1979 he completed a partial course in business administration (guest auditor) with an examination and was a teacher in Aschersleben after completing his studies. He was a temporary employee in the CDU, from 1977 to 1990 he was an employee, later responsible for software development in the field of research and project planning at the Bitterfeld lignite combine.

Karl-Martin Kuntze, who is of Protestant denomination, is married.

Karl-Martin Kuntze has been a member of the CDU since 1970 . Since 1990 he has held various board positions. 1990 to 1994 councilor for education and culture in the city of Halle (Saale) .

In the state elections in Saxony-Anhalt in 1994 and 1998, he was elected to the state parliament via the state list. In the state parliament he was a member of the Committee on Law and Constitution, the Election Review Committee and the Committee on Education and Science.

He was also a member of the parish church council and the district synod from 1988 to 1993, a member of the board of directors of the Francke Foundations from 1992 to 1997 and, since 1994, a member of the board of trustees of the Society of Friends of the Halleschen Philharmonie.
