Karl Albrecht (poet)

Karl Albrecht , also Karl Albrecht-Frainer (pseudonym), (born December 31, 1845 in Frain an der Thaya , Moravia ; † December 7, 1920 in Vienna , Austria ) was a Sudeten German poet and teacher .

life and work

Albrecht was born in Moravia in 1845. After attending the teacher training college at St. Anna in Vienna, he worked from 1867 as a teacher at the elementary school in Vienna. In addition, he was an employee of the German-Austrian teachers' newspaper Der Lehrer als Dichter . In 1908, Volger Verlag in Leipzig published his volume of poems Mein Dichten und Denk: a late reading from 3 decades . Albrecht died in Vienna in December 1920 at the age of 74.
