Karl Anrather
Karl Anrather (born May 21, 1861 in Margreid ; † January 17, 1893 there ) was a South Tyrolean painter .
Raised on a farm, he was supposed to attend the trade school in Innsbruck at the request of his father . Against his will, he studied painting in Munich . Today he is one of the most important painters in South Tyrol at the end of the 19th century .
His two main works are The Fortune Teller and the monumental painting Chancellor Biener on the Tyrolean Parliament .
