Karl Böse

Karl Böse (born July 25, 1940 in Schwerte ; † March 9, 2013 in Dortmund ) was a German politician and former member of the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament of the SPD .

Life and work

After attending elementary school and high school with the Abitur , he studied at the Dortmund University of Education. Böse passed the state examinations for teaching at elementary schools and was active in the school service, most recently as principal school principal in Dortmund.

He joined the SPD in 1964. He was active in numerous bodies of the party. Böse had been a member of the Education and Science Union since 1962 and a member of IG Metall since 1982 . He was also a member of the workers' welfare organization .

In addition, Karl Böse was a member of the supervisory board of gws-WOHNEN Dortmund-Süd eG for almost 30 years, which he chaired for 18 years. On July 25, 2010, Böse resigned from this body at the age of 70.

From May 29, 1980 to May 31, 1995, Böse was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was a member of the local political committee and the transport committee. For many years he was the transport policy spokesman for the SPD parliamentary group. He was directly elected in the constituency 134 Dortmund V.

He was a member of the council of the municipality of Holzen from 1969 to 1974 and the city ​​council of Dortmund from 1975 to 1979.
