Karl Bauer (politician, 1919)

Karl Bauer (born October 3, 1919 in Wilkischen , Czech Republic ; † 2010 ) was a German businessman , politician and member of the Bavarian Senate.

Bauer attended the elementary school in Wilkischen, the German boys' school and the German commercial academy in Pilsen, and after graduating from high school, he worked at the headquarters of the Sudetenland consumer cooperative in Prague . He was a soldier in World War II . After his release from captivity, he studied business administration at the University of Munich and completed his studies with a degree in business administration. From 1948 to 1956, Bauer worked in the auditing service of the Association of Bavarian Consumer Cooperatives in Munich . From 1956 to 1964 he was a managing board member of the Erlangen consumer cooperative , then from 1965 to 1979 he was a managing board member of the co op Franken consumer cooperative in Nuremberg , where he was spokesman for the board from 1970 to 1979. From 1967 he sat on the advisory board of the Federation of German Consumer Cooperatives, then from 1973 to 1979 on the management board of the co op headquarters in Hamburg . At the same time he was chairman of the board of directors of the Bavarian state group in the auditing association of German consumer cooperatives, also in Hamburg. From January 1, 1974 to December 31, 1979 he was a member of the Bavarian Senate .
