Karl Baumgartner (cook)

Karl Baumgartner (born March 14, 1958 in Brixen , South Tyrol ) is an Italian chef .

Career

After training as a service specialist in the Fink restaurant in Brixen , Baumgartner worked in various restaurants in South Tyrol until 1980. When he leased the Pichler restaurant in Mühlbach together with his brothers Hans and Siegfried Baumgartner, he began working as a cook. In 1986 he and Siegfried took over the Schöneck restaurant in Mühlen near Pfalzen , which has been awarded a Michelin star since 1996 .

Karl Baumgartner has been an honorary member of the Jeunes Restaurateurs d'Europe since 2004 .
