Karl Brodhäcker
Karl Brodhäcker ( pseudonym : Karl Broker , born December 23, 1919 in Alsfeld / Hessen ; † November 6, 2013 ibid) was a German writer , journalist and publisher .
Life
Karl Brodhäcker took part in the Second World War as a member of the " Parachute Panzer Corps Hermann Göring " . After 1945 he worked as a journalist, publisher and freelance writer in Hesse . From 1959 to 1967 he published the weekly "Hessen-Journal" and from 1965 to 1994 the book series "Ulrichsteiner Bücherei". Brodhäcker lived in Alsfeld until his death.
Karl Brodhäcker's work includes novels , books for young people , poems and plays , some in Hessian dialect . He also edited a number of anthologies. He also published numerous articles on the regional history and folklore of the Vogelsberg and Upper Hesse . In 1994 he was awarded the culture prize of the city of Alsfeld.
