Karl Christian Meurer

Karl Christian von Meurer (born February 24, 1815 in Ludwigsburg ; † 1892 ) was the Württemberg Oberamtmann , who headed the Oberamt Heilbronn for 30 years .

The son of a sergeant major studied criminal science at the University of Tübingen and in 1839, after passing the first state examination, joined the government of the Neckar District in Ludwigsburg as a clerk . After the second state examination, he was senior actuary at the Cannstatt Oberamt , where he also acted as administrative administrator on various occasions . In 1847 he joined the Evangelical Consistory to Stuttgart, as a government secretary Oberamt actuary in 1851 before he Oberamt Ulm was, where he in 1852 and 1853, Temporary Administrator bailiff was. In 1855 he came to the Oberamt Heilbronn as Oberamtmann , which he chaired for 30 years. There he was in 1871 the Governing Council and 1885 during his retirement Senior Government. He passed his retirement in Cannstatt and was buried on November 2, 1892 in Heilbronn.
