Karl Dietrich von Gemmingen

Karl Dietrich von Gemmingen (born January 14, 1583 ; † November 12, 1629 ) was the landlord in Steinegg .

Life

He was a son of Baden-Durlach's councilor Wolf Dietrich von Gemmingen (1550–1601) and Ursula von Neuneck (1560–1626) . He inherited the family property in Steinegg, which, when his great-grandfather Dietrich VIII von Gemmingen divided the estate, first came to another branch of the Gemmingen-Steinegg family, which went out in 1603 with Hans Pleikard von Gemmingen . Margrave Georg Friedrich von Baden-Durlach decided in 1615 a dispute between Karl Dietrich von Gemmingen and the communities of Schellbronn and Hohenwarth over the chopping of oaks and hunting disputes.

He died of a stroke in 1629. His tomb is preserved in the church in Neuhausen .

family

He was married to Maria Crescentia von Neuhausen († 1621) and entered into a second marriage with Susanna von Stotzingen after her death . After Karl Dietrich's death, Susanna married Rudolf von Dietrichstein , who in 1644 claimed parts of the wedding property.
