Karl Fischer (born April 18, 1871 in Meißenheim ; † May 2, 1931 there ) was a German politician (DNVP).

Karl Fischer was born in 1871 as the son of the farmer Johann Wilhelm Fischer (1838-1919) and his wife Eva Kapp (1842-1906). He had a brother, Johann Wilhelm, and a sister, Eva.

After attending primary school in Meißenheim, he was trained as a farmer. From 1890 to 1892 Fischer belonged to a Baden regiment as a non-commissioned officer.

In 1896 he married Katharina Anselm (1877–1949). The marriage resulted in five children: Katharina, Karl Arthur and three other children who died shortly after birth.

From 1908 until at least 1920, Fischer was mayor of Meißenheim.

In 1913 he moved into the Baden House of Representatives .

After the First World War, Fischer became a member of the German National People's Party (DNVP), for which he sat from June 1920 to May 1924 as a member of constituency 35 (Baden) in the first Reichstag of the Weimar Republic . He was also a member of the Baden state parliament from 1921 to 1925 .
