Karl Franz Henisch

Karl Franz Henisch (born June 29, 1745 in Vienna , † December 13, 1776 in Potsdam ) was a German actor and librettist .

Life

The actor Henisch was best known as a comedian . After an engagement in Prague in 1772 , he played from 1773 in Berlin, first with the Kochschen, and later the Wäserschen Gesellschaft . He wrote several libretti for comic operas, which were set to music by Franz Andreas Holly .

He was married to the actress Karoline Giranek .
