Johann Albert Karl Freudenberg (born February 17, 1876 in Höxter ; † January 31, 1956 in Bonn-Beuel ) was a German politician and Lord Mayor of the city ​​of Hörde .

Life

Karl Freudenberg completed a practical and theoretical training in construction and applied arts from 1890 to 1897 and attended the Technical University of Charlottenburg , the Hygiene Institute in Berlin , the State Academy for Arts and Crafts in Wroclaw and the University of Wroclaw . On April 1, 1897, he became the head of the town planning department in Höxter. He changed his profession and in 1906 became a specialist teacher at the trade school in Breslau and later director of the trade school in Szczecin. His election as alderman in Neubrandenburg fell in 1920. Two years later he was alderman in Hörde. From January 1923 to March 1928 Freudenberg was Lord Mayor of Hörde. He lost this office because Hörde was incorporated into Dortmund in 1928 and thus ceased to exist as an independent city. The sources do not provide any information about Freudenberg's further life.
