Karl Günther Kronawitter

Karl Günther Kronawitter (born December 22, 1934 in Vilshofen ; † April 5, 2000 ) was a Hessian politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

After finishing school, Kronawitter did an apprenticeship as a moulder and caster from 1950 to 1953. He then worked for ten years in his learned profession until he attended the Academy of Work in Frankfurt in 1965 and 1966 and then worked as the second authorized representative of IG Metall in Gießen until 1971 and as district secretary of IG Metall in Frankfurt am Main from 1971 . From May 1989 to 1998 he was head of the IG Metall district of Frankfurt (today: "Mitte district").

Kronawitter was married and had three children.

politics

Kronawitter was a member of the SPD since 1958. He was deputy federal chairman of the working group for employee issues of the SPD and a member of the SPD state executive committee.

From December 1, 1970 to April 4, 1991 (7th - 12th electoral term) he was a member of the Hessian state parliament, where he was chairman of the committee for economics and technology for the 10th electoral term.

In 1989 he was a member of the Federal Assembly .
