Karl Hans Kickhöffel

Karl Hans Kickhöffel (born May 1, 1889 in Franzburg ; † November 12, 1947 in Potsdam ) was a German beekeeper and politician ( DNVP ).

Life

After visiting the preparation institute in Tribsees , Kickhöffel completed the teachers' seminar in Franzburg and then worked as a primary school teacher on Rügen and in the Stralsund administrative region . He took part in the First World War as a soldier and then worked as a teacher at an elementary school in Jeeser . He was also a member of the German Evangelical Church Congress .

Kickhöffel was a member of the Prussian state parliament from 1921 to 1933 . In parliament he represented constituency 6 (Pomerania).

In addition to his professional and political tasks, he was active as a beekeeper and was chairman of the German Beekeeping Association (DIB) from 1931 and, after the " Gleichschaltung ", from 1933 to 1945 executive president of the Reichsfachgruppe Beekeeper. He played a key role in the introduction of the standard jar for German honey, in the coming into existence of the Honey Ordinance and in 1936 achieved the tax exemption for feed sugar for bees.

Karl Hans Kickhöffel was married to Ella Koch and had four children.
