Karl Hans Meuser (born December 8, 1931 in Gießen , Germany ; † April 12, 1986 in Frankfurt am Main ) was a German actor on stage and television.

Live and act

Meuser completed an acting training with Ernst Karchow and made his debut in 1951 at the municipal theater of his hometown Gießen. The follow-up engagement took him to the Marburg theater in 1954. Since 1958 he worked as a freelance artist and no longer tied himself firmly to an ensemble. Meuser also gave stage guest performances, also worked in cabaret, occasionally directed the stage and did radio and dubbing.

From 1962 Karl Hans Meuser stood in front of television cameras for a good two decades and was involved in numerous individual productions as well as a guest in crime series such as “ Tatort ” or “ A case for two ”. The man with the distinctive dark circles had temporarily played several roles in The Hesselbach Company . Meuser characters were often stocky, simple people from the people: he played a teacher, bellboy, servant, waiter and once the boss of a workshop.

Until recently, however, he remained loyal to the theater and settled in Frankfurt am Main. There he was seen since the 1970s as a long-time member of the ensemble at the Fritz Rémond Theater in the Zoo and in the Little Comedy. Guest performances led him a. a. to the Ettlinger Schlossfestspiele. Meuser was also used as a singer in the context of stage plays at a young age.
