Karl Heinrich Ferdinand Grünig (born March 17, 1781 in Breslau ; † December 5, 1846 there ) was a German lawyer and author.

Heinrich Grünig was the son of a calculator at the War and Domain Chamber. He attended the Friedrichs- and Magdalenengymnasium in Breslau and studied law in Halle from 1802 to 1804 . He then entered the judicial service in his hometown and was appointed city judge in 1827. He married Josephine Rotter, who died in 1826.

The Rector Manso had already encouraged Grünig's poetic inclinations in the Magdalen High School. Grünig published his first poems in magazines such as the Breslauer Hausfreund, the Schlesische Blätter, the Schlesisches Musenalmanach and the archive of the literary department of the Breslauer Künstlerverein. His contemporaries considered him a Silesian folk poet. He was a member of the Breslau Masonic Lodge Friedrich zum Golden Scepter .
