Karl Heinrich von Natzmer

Karl Heinrich von Natzmer (born August 2, 1799 in Schlagenthin ( Arnswalde district ), † July 31, 1875 in Interlaken ) was a Prussian major general and most recently the commander of the 40th Infantry Regiment .

Life

origin

His parents were Friedrich Wolf Ernst von Natzmer (born June 30, 1776; † 1810) and his wife Karoline Dorothea Philippine, born von Restorff (born March 12, 1773; † September 3, 1854). His father was a captain a. D. from Infantry Regiment No. 35 (Prince Heinrich) and hereditary lord of Rosenow in the Regenwalde district . His brother Adolf Albrecht (1801-1884) became a Prussian lieutenant general .

Career

He came to Stolp as a cadet in 1810, became a cadet in Potsdam in 1811 and became a cadet in Berlin on July 26, 1812. From there he came to the 28th Infantry Regiment on April 19, 1817 as a porter ensign . He was promoted to second lieutenant on April 23, 1820. From 1823 to 1826 he was posted to the General War School . He was then employed as a battalion adjutant from 1831 to 1839 and promoted to Prime Lieutenant on October 15, 1832. On July 28, 1841 he became a captain and company commander. On March 27, 1847 he was appointed major, at the same time he was transferred to the 22nd Landwehr Regiment, where he was commander of the 1st battalion in Gliwice . On December 18, 1851, he came as a commander in the fusilier battalion of the 22nd Infantry Regiment. There he was promoted to lieutenant colonel on March 22, 1852 and transferred to the 40th infantry regiment as commander on May 10, 1855 . There he was appointed colonel on July 12, 1855. On October 24, 1857, he received his retirement with his pension and the permission to wear his uniform. On 18 October 1861 he was then with pension for grabs found on 18 January 1864, the Crown, 2nd class and on 22 March 1865 nor with the character recognized as Major General. He died on July 31, 1875 in Interlaken.
