Karl Herbert (born January 26, 1883 in Zirkenbach ; † May 26, 1949 ibid) was a German politician ( Center Party ).

Live and act

Karl Herbert was born as the son of an independent farmer. After attending primary school in Johannesberg in the Fulda district (1889 to 1897) and grammar school in Fulda (1897 to 1902; up to upper secondary school ), he began to work on his father's farm.

Herbert organized himself politically in the Catholic Center Party . In 1909 he took over the mayor's office in his home town of Zirkenbach. In 1912 he also became a member of the district council of Fulda and in 1919 a member of the municipal council of Kassel . From June 1920 to May 1924 he was a member of the first Reichstag of the Weimar Republic , in which he represented constituency 21 (Hessen-Nassau).
