Karl Hoess (* before 1971 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actor .

Life

Hoess appeared at the Volkstheater Wien (1971, small role in King Johann with television recording), at the Theater in der Josefstadt (2001), at the Volkstheater in Munich and at the Theater Komödianten on Vienna's Börseplatz. Under the direction of Claus Peymann , he played for ten years at the Burgtheater . There he took on roles in The Visit of the Old Lady (1992, 1st Citizen), in Sunset by Isaak Babel (1993, Wajner), in Liliom (1993, The Breitenseer Policeman), in Game of Illusions by Pierre Corneille (1993, Géronte ), in the world premiere of Elfriede Jelineks Raststätte oder Sie machens alle (1994), in Yvonne, Princess of Burgundy (1994, Marschall), in the world premiere of Vinny by Klaus Pohl (1994, Ed Russel), in the world premiere of Peter Handke's equipment for Immortality (1997), in Die heilige Johanna der Schlachthöfe (1997, Arbeiter), in Der Turm (1997, confessor of the king), in Mother Courage and Her Children (1998, officer) and in the world premiere of Der Golem von Bayreuth ( 1998) by Ulla Berkéwicz .

In the theater he also played roles such as Don Juan , Lieutenant Gustl , Oberon / Theseus in William Shakespeare's comedy A Midsummer Night's Dream , as well as roles in plays by Oscar Wilde .

In Rockreisen , the ORF- Hörsopiel of the year 2003, an acoustic road movie by Gerhard Jaschke , he took part in the role of Fredl Sturm under the direction of Lucas Cejpek from . He was also part of the cast of the legendary Auer family radio sitcom on ORF Kunstradio .

Hoess lives in Vienna.
