Hennecke (Henning) von Plessen was regional economic advisor to the NSDAP in Mecklenburg from 1933 to 1942. As such, under Gauleiter Friedrich Hildebrandt, he was largely responsible for the Aryanization of Jewish private property in Mecklenburg. Among other things, he was involved in the sale of the Kychenthal department store on Schweriner Markt after November 9, 1938 , which was forced by massive pressure , as a result of which the senior of the company Louis Kychenthal was deported to the Theresienstadt ghetto in 1942 , where he was eighty years old on June 6, 1943 was killed. The correspondence and documents of the Gau economic consultant Hennecke von Plessens were destroyed in connection with the destruction of the files of the Gau leadership in April 1945. In a second denazification procedure in Paderborn, the NSDAP's regional economic adviser was classified in category V (exonerated) in July 1949. Until his flight to West Germany in 1945 and the land reform in the Soviet occupation zone , Hennecke von Plessen was the owner of the historic manor house (former moated castle from the 12th century) on his estate at Kurzen Trechow and owner of the estate at Langen Trechow.

Hennecke von Plessen was secretary and chairman of the Plessen family association. He had taken over these family tasks to maintain the tradition of the Plessen from his father, the National Socialist Reimar von Plessen, who founded the family association in 1895.

After the reunification of Germany , his daughter Maria Therese Schierning and her son Christian returned to the former family estate in Kurzen Trechow.

Trivia

In the Langen Trechow chapel , which belongs to the Evangelical Lutheran parish of Langen Trechow, Maria Therese Schierning had the lead glass windows with the coats of arms and names of the patronage families behind the altar restored and completed on her 75th birthday, with "Hennecke von Plessen 1894– 1968 ”was immortalized, framed like the other names by baroque putti and tendrils.
