Raczyński is the name of an important Polish noble family ( magnates of the Szlachta ), the feminine form of the name is Raczyńska . The Raczyński family belonged to the Nałęcz coat of arms community . They were an ancient Polish aristocratic family with a branch from Courland , registered in the Mitau aristocratic registers, and a branch from West Poland in Greater Poland . They originally came from the Wieluń area , where they were first mentioned in 1541.

The family seat has been in Rogalin near Poznan since the 18th century .
