family

Immendorfer was a son of the landowner Wilhelm Friedrich Immendörfer (1818-1870) from his first marriage to Christine Kuom (1827-1850). The Immendörfer family had lived in Heimerdingen since 1774 and owned the former Zeller'schen Hof (which was demolished in 1971) on the corner of Karlstrasse and Hausgasse. The grandfather, Georg Friedrich Immendörfer, was mayor of the Heimerdingen community from 1779 to 1805 . Karl Immendörfer was married to the daughter of a winemaker and landowner, Elisabeth Strub from Nierstein .

Life

After attending primary school, Immendörfer studied agriculture at the Agricultural Academy in Hohenheim in 1871/72 . His first professional activities were as estate manager in Ernsthof near Wertheim and Berthelsdorf (Silesia). From 1872 he was a farmer and landowner in Heimerdingen. From around 1894 he was a member of the Federation of Farmers , from 1889 a member of the parish council of the Peter and Paul Church in his home parish Heimerdingen, long-standing member of the district council and the official assembly in Leonberg , committee member of the agricultural district association Leonberg and member of the board of the VI. Agricultural district association.

politics

In 1902 Immendörfer was elected to the Oberamt Leonberg as a replacement for the late MP Wilhelm Friedrich Aldinger in the Württemberg Chamber of Deputies , to which he belonged until his death (for the farmers' union). He was a member of the commission for internal administration and from 1907 of the building regulations commission.

Immendörfer was one of the main advocates of the Strohgäubahn from Korntal to Weissach and also supported its continuation from Weissach to Pforzheim, which was ultimately not implemented.
