Karl Knaupp

Karl Knaupp (born November 19, 1915 in Aichstetten ; † July 12, 2006 in Spaichingen ) was a Roman Catholic clergyman and vicar general of the Rottenburg diocese .

Life

Knaupp studied Catholic theology at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen and had been a member of the Catholic student association AV Guestfalia Tübingen since 1934 . He received the 1939 sacrament of holy orders and was then vicar until 1942 in St. Eberhard in Stuttgart . He was then vicar of St. Martin's Cathedral in Rottenburg am Neckar and repetition at the Wilhelmsstift in Tübingen . In 1949 he was at the University of Tübingen Dr. theol. PhD .

Knaupp was a member of the management of the Rottenburg diocese from 1953 to 1981. At first he was an ordinary councilor and then from 1960 to 1981 he was canon and vicar general .

After he died on July 12, 2006, he was buried in the cemetery in Sülchen .
