Karl Löber (born September 20, 1901 in Haiger , † December 31, 1982 in Haiger) was a German teacher, cantor, local researcher and naturalist.

From 1945 until his retirement in 1965, Löber was headmaster and rector in Langenaubach . In addition, Löber was involved in the Hessian teacher training and adult education at his various places of activity.

In 1930 Karl Löber married Senta Kill in Rabenscheid.

Löber wrote over 730 writings on folklore , history and botany of the Westerwald, including numerous newspaper articles. For many years he was editor-in-chief and main author of the Dillkreis' home yearbook . Löber belonged to several local and regional history associations. From 1967 he was chairman of the Hessian Association for Folklore.

In 1950 Löber was elected to the Historical Commission for Nassau and later appointed to the German Society for Folklore . In 1965 he was awarded an honorary doctorate (Dr. phil. Hc) by the Philosophical Faculty of the Philipps University of Marburg for his great work on the folk life of the Dill district .
