Karl Laufer

Karl Laufer (born October 4, 1885 in Katzenbach , † December 11, 1962 in Darmstadt ) was a Hessian politician ( DVP ) and a former member of the Landtag of the People's State of Hesse in the Weimar Republic .

Karl Laufer was the son of the ironworker Peter Laufer and his wife Eva née Molter. Karl Laufer, who was of Protestant denomination, married Anna Katharina, née Hundsdorf (1885–1930), on July 15, 1911 in Darmstadt. In his second marriage he married Emilie nee Stäbler.

Karl Laufer worked as a workers' secretary and state manager. From 1919 he was a city councilor in Darmstadt. In 1924 he moved to the state parliament for Heinrich Köhler .
