Karl Ludwig Drobisch (born December 24, 1803 in Leipzig , † August 20, 1854 in Augsburg ) was a German composer.

Drobisch dealt intensively with the mathematical determination of the pitch relationships and published numerous works on this problem. As a result, he had a great influence on contemporary music.

From 1826 he was a music teacher, especially for theoretical music lessons, and from 1837 Kapellmeister of the Protestant Church in Augsburg.

He wrote numerous choral works, including a requiem and many masses.

His son Eugen Theodor Drobisch followed in his father's footsteps and also became a composer.
