Karl Martin Fischer

Karl Martin Fischer (born December 21, 1936 in Dresden , † November 27, 1981 in Leipzig ) was a German Protestant theologian.

Fischer studied Protestant theology at the Humboldt University in Berlin from 1956 to 1961 and then completed his vicariate in the church district of Berlin-Stadt. From 1962 to 1964 he was an assistant at the HU Berlin. After his ordination in 1964, he worked as a pastor at the Immanuelkirche in Berlin. In addition, he was a dissertation on the meaning of suffering in Paul's theology to complete, due to which he in 1967 at the Humboldt University Berlin for Dr. theol. received his doctorate. 1970 followed the habilitation on the letter to the Ephesians . In 1971 he became senior research assistant at the University of Leipzig and held a teaching position for the New Testament there from 1974 until his death .
